Clearly not my bag

So, clearly I'm not as hip to this blogging stuff as some....just can't seem to make it a priority in my day! I finally met with a knitting group. Just 2 ladies from the knitty board. I really enjoyed myself and hope to go back again. I've been working on Lucy's birthday dress and almost have the back complete. Also, I have made 3 hats to donate to the NICU and got TONS of baby yarn (see post below about strangers) and will do up some blankets next. Finally, I completed the honeymoon cami and I really like it! As a matter of fact, I am wearing it as I type!!

WOOPS...i meant to post a picture of my honeymoon cami but posted this pic instead. Seeing as how I have no idea how to change it...i'll leave it! These are much cuter subjects anyway!

The kindness of strangers

So, yesterday I was feeling a little blue because of our lack of funds and my inability to find a nicely priced yarn for Lucy's birthday dress. I made a post on knitty hoping to get some good feedback on knitting on the cheap...which I did. Great advice on using recycled sweaters (never thought of that one) and reserving books at the library. What I got that I didn't expect was all kinds of offers for free yarn and needles! One woman even offered to buy whatever yarn I wanted!! Can you believe it! These people are total strangers and yet were willing to totally help me out! I was so touched and moved...and of course I accepted many offers! So...I have lots of pretty yarn coming my way! YIPPEEE!!

This of course, motivates me to Pay it Forward (EEK..I hate that phrase). When Lucy came out of the hospital I swore I was going to make blankets and hats for the NICU. In nearly a year I have made only ONE! Not good!! I'm stepping up those efforts starting today!

And the list goes on..

Yet another to add to my to do list! Found this t-shirt today that I would like to try sometime.
The honeymoon is almost over (actually the honeymoon was over a long time ago...but that is a whole other story). I tried it on for the first time last night and I'm not totally in love with it. It just isn't quite long enough for my long (and very stretch-marked) torso. Then, I couldn't find my tapestry needle to sew up the first side, so I gave up on it for a night. Since I was getting frustrated with that, I started on one of the clutch bags I am making for Christmas's looking really nice.

Tried to meet up with some people in town today for knitting fun but had no one to watch the kiddos! Bummer! Maybe next time!

So, in one day I have managed to add more to my "to-do list" then I could ever hope to imagine. Anyway..since this blog is mainly for the purpose of me keeping track of patterns...these are the boots I plan on making little Lucy for this winter! FUN!

I am currently working on this honeymoon cami from . I am just using cheapy LionsBrand microspun but I think it is going to turn out really cute. Hopefully I can finish up the body part today and then start working on the shaping!

Cabled Clutch

Ok, the first project I want to save for later is a cute little cabled clutch . I smell some pretty darn cute Christmas presents coming on!

What the heck is a blog anyway?? But more importantly, who the hell cares to look at mine? Oh well, I keep stumbling upon so many cool blogs and mainly set up my own so that I would have a place to link to all of the patterns that I dream about working on some day. Now...if I could just figure out how to work the damn thing!
